    Social Services Specific to Benton County

      Jackson Street Youth Program is accepting youth ages 10 – 17 into their shelters in Corvallis and Albany. Shelters provide basic needs, skills coaching and mental health resources.

      The Corvallis CO-OP offers a program in which families and individuals who are receiving SNAP will receive $1 towards produce for every $1 on fresh fruits and vegetables- up to $20 per day. 1007 SE 3rd St Corvallis, OR; 2855 NW Grant Ave, Corvallis, OR (541) 753-3115

      Community Outreach INC is a non-profit organization that provides transitional housing for families and individuals, case management, life skills coaching, food pantry services, free medical and dental clinics, mental health counseling, as well as low cost childcare at Mari’s Place. https://communityoutreachinc.org/ Ph: 541.758.3000

      Community Services Consortium provides services regarding essential day-to-day survival, such as food and housing, as well as developing new skills that lead to independence through education, training, and work.       Chance Recovery is a non-profit agency working in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties offering support for those who have experienced, or who are experiencing homelessness and addiction. This organization can help with navigating detox and recovery related social services. 1100 SE Jackson St. Albany has a shelter including family rooms and a warming center. The Corvallis office can assist individuals with filling out job applications, resumes, and applications related to housing and other social services. Chance has a motel voucher program to house homeless individuals and families on a short term basis. Ph: 541.224.7839

      Linn-Benton Housing Authority is the governing organization that provides vouchers for housing to low income families in Linn and Benton Counties. https://l-bha.org/for-applicants/

      Thrift Store Hours: Vina Moses in Corvallis has thrift store hours in which individuals can “go shopping” for household items and clothing for free.

      Back to School Event: Vina Moses hosts a back to school event in August in which k-12 Benton County students may receive a new pair of shoes, a new back pack as well as back to school clothing and supplies to start the school year.
      Giving Tree Event: Vina Moses hosts an event called Giving Tree in which families may receive gifts for their children, a Christmas tree, and gift cards to help pay for a holiday meal from a local grocery store.

      We Care is a non-profit organization that offers one time assistance paying for utilities, electricity, and rent to avoid utility shut off and evictions.
