Resources for Autism:

    The Oregon Family Support Network offers a warmline to parents that is available Monday through Friday from 12PM-7PM. This is a peer support line of other parents who have children with complex needs who volunteer to provide support to other parents. Support includes advocacy, resources, and support navigating IEP’s and 504 plans. Parents can text or call: 833-732-2467. 

    Out school is an online program that offers online classes for youth and teens who would like help practicing and developing their social skills. Groups vary by age and are offered to youth with and without a formal diagnosis of autism. https://outschool.com/online-classes/social-skills-courses 

    Transformative Health and Wellness offers a support group for parents/ caregivers of neurodivergent kids. This group offers education, support, and connection for parents and caregivers of children with any neurodivergence, of any age.     The Association of Neurodiversity and Autism offers support groups for parents as well as teens and young adults. https://aane.org/ 

    The Autism Society of Oregon offers online  and in person support groups for Benton, Lincoln, and Coos county, including a friendship group for autistic children ages 7-14, young adult groups, and parent/ caregiver support groups. https://autismsocietyoregon.org/ 

    PDA North America offers online resources for parents and teachers of youth diagnosed with PDA. This includes strategies and support needs for school, de-escalation methods for parents and teachers, and more. https://pdanorthamerica.org/resources/
