Parenting Resources:

    Maternal and Child Health Program is a free program offered to women who are pregnant as well as families of infants and children up to age five. This program provides maternity case management to navigate resources and other programs such as WIC as well as free routine home nurse visits to help with breastfeeding, weight checks, and provide support for caring for your infant. Ph: 541.760.1834. 

    Old Mill Relief Nursery is a free and voluntary therapeutic early childhood program for children ages birth to six years old. This statewide home visiting program provides case management and collaboration with parents to co-create goals to support parent-child relationships and increase natural supports. Parents have access to parenting classes and respite care. Ph: 541.757.8068.

    Hope for Mothers is a support group open to parents experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Support group meetings are offered both virtually and in person in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon. For more information email: [email protected] or call Mandy at 541.768.6908. Groups are free and offered in English and Spanish.

    Pollywog is a program that provides families with access to free parenting classes, as well as support groups, and free and low cost pre-school. https://pollywogfamily.org/ 

    Ophelia’s Place offers a free virtual parent- daughter group. Parent Daughter Circle is an 8-week group developed for girls, non-binary, gender nonconforming, and gender fluid folks and their parent/guardian to work together to strengthen their relationships. Therapists facilitating the group offer guided discussions, interactive skill-building activities, and creative expression. Youth and the adults in their lives often share that communication and connection can be challenging. This group works to change that, and participants regularly give feedback that the group has helped them build stronger, more engaged relationships with one another. Advance registration and a commitment to weekly attendance will be required. Informed consent required prior to first attendance. https://www.opheliasplace.net/activities-workshops 

    The Oregon Family Support Network offers a warmline to parents that is available Monday through Friday from 12PM-7PM. This is a peer support line of other parents who have children with complex needs who volunteer to provide support to other parents. Support includes advocacy, resources, and support navigating IEP’s and 504 plans. Parents can text or call: 833-732-2467.
